this game is so bad.
The WoW Database - WoWDigger.com
I just bought a level 70 character and 7500 gold to get started in WoW, and I have to say- it's pretty bad. I've played other MMO's before and this probably ranks, on my top ten, about number 6 or so. What is all the hype about? The gameplay is weak, the pvp is practically non-existant, and the graphics are terrible!
It looks like it was designed for a bunch of middle-school kids still watching spongebob. They really should label wow as the carebear mmo.
btw, I don't really mind that I'm out the money for purchasing the 7500 gold and level 70, it was more than worth it to not have wasted the time playing a character to that level for the disappointment that followed.
WoW, what a joke.

wow.
I have so much to say to you...where do I start.
1) I assume you're one and only goal here is to get a rise out of people by posting this here. Therefore, I won't succumb to it.
2) The forum does not support, encourage, much less promote the discussion of buying gold or characters. That's considered an illegal action by blizzard.
3) "I just bought a level 70 character and 7500 gold to get started in WoW". This is considered ENDGAME. Not the start of the game. The reason why it seems so lame is you've missed almost ALL the content that's involved in leveling up, and making money. You haven't actually PLAYED the game, you've simply played a small fraction (1%) of the entire content of the game. You can't make a serious and inform judgment on the game content, the game play, and the game concepts if you haven't truly played it.
4) As for their graphics- each to their own. I suppose if you're going to judge the content of games based on graphics alone, you'd miss a lot of games.
In the end- the hype comes from people who've actually played the game. Not cheated and bought their way to the end of the game.
My suggestion is you take an hour or two and start a character and play. You might be surprised by the difficulty of learning a new character, making your way around and doing quests. Get professions and make money that way. You lose content and enjoyment by cheating (something which I never understood why people would do).
best of luck on actually experiencing wow.

I am not even sure how to respond to this topic so I will just go with what Tikki said but will add some of my own.
The whole design part I don't understand and really just feel this is more of a troll topic of some disgruntled child. And the games graphics while not the top of the line are decent looking if you have a good system and have the settings turned up (like any game) though of course its not the most top of the line but thats intentional so that almost anyone can play this game (and why it has over 9 million players).
And buying a character well thats pretty sad. How you can't judge a game on that at all since you skipped a large portion of the game and probably didn't even experience much at 70 since people tend to be able to tell who bought their account and not group with them. I really wonder how much you played at 70 other then just looking at the character.
